A successful 2008 for Pneumofore

(PresseBox) (Rivoli, ) Pneumofore, leading manufacturer of vacuum pumps and air compressors since 1923, will end the 2008 with significant success and a strong vision towards the future. The closing year does not only mean the 85 years celebration of the company, proving a solid experience and competence that no one else can claim on the industrial vacuum and compressed air market, but also the achievement of increasing results. In mid October, the turnover reached the one of the entire 2007 and the order book is complete while production is working full to keep delivery terms. This positive performance is following a yearly increase of turnover by more than 20% since 2005, which lets Pneumofore stand today on a consolidated position as worldwide player in the global market. The Pneumofore success is resulting from long term strategies, precise investments, revival of entire departments and focus on R&D.

Recently, Pneumofore has developed a variable speed drive (VS) version of its UV vacuum pumps. The VS drive is an electronic device that allows to set frequency/voltage of electric motor power (from 35 to 60 Hz) in order to control the motor speed (from 1000 to 1750 rpm) and consequently the suction flow rate of the pump. Specially designed for glassworks, but extremely important in many other applications where the vacuum flow needs to vary depending on the production workload, the UV vacuum pumps VS version is able to manage any eventual variation of vacuum by changing the motor speed according to the feedback received from a vacuum sensor installed directly on the inlet vacuum pipe. This allows to keep the vacuum level in the process as constant as possible. The benefits are clear: energy savings, more flexible and adaptable system and reliable vacuum level.

By the end of 2008 Pneumofore will present also the new design of the A120 rotary vane air compressor. With reduced overall dimensions and noise level, this new compressor will offer the same performance but with reduced space needs. Furthermore, the machine has been developed to reach a lower air temperature at the outlet, thus reduced energy consumption which means less energy costs.

Lately Pneumofore has participated at the Glasstec fair in Düsseldorf (Germany), collecting visitors' interest on its centralized vacuum solutions for IS machines. Next year, Pneumofore will exhibit at Hannover Messe and at the most important glass-related international tradeshows worldwide.
