Direkter Zugriff auf CAN-over-IP-Gateways über Windows

Die PCAN-Gateway-Produktreihe ermöglicht die Verbindung von verschiedenen CAN-Bussen über IP-Netzwerke. Dafür werden CAN-Frames in TCP- oder UDP-Nachrichtenpakete verpackt und über das IP-Netz von einem zum anderen Gerät weitergeleitet.

Mit dem Virtual PCAN-Gateway bietet PEAK-System nun die Möglichkeit über einen Computer direkt auf ein PCAN-Gateway zuzugreifen. Über die Windows-Software errichtet man eine virtuelle Verbindung analog zur Verbindung zweier PCAN-Gateways. Die CAN-Kanäle der Hardware werden anschließend wie direkt am PC angeschlossene CAN-Adapter zur Verfügung gestellt und können mit jeder CAN-Anwendung von PEAK-System und Software, die auf einer CAN-API von PEAK-System basiert, verwendet werden.
