TTSL teams up with Nokia Siemens Networks

Partnership to focus on Tata Teleservices' pan-India GSM network rollout

(PresseBox) (New Delhi, ) Tata Teleservices Limited (TTSL), India's youngest and fastest-growing telecom service provider, has partnered with Nokia Siemens Networks for its pan-India GSM network rollout. Under the terms of the partnership, Nokia Siemens Networks has been identified as one of the main vendors that will manage the operations of the networks it deploys over a period of five years. Managed services forms just one portion of the vast scope of the deal-the complete services outlay includes local supplies, network planning, project management, network roll-out and systems integration activities across the national network.

Backed by experience of more than 200 managed services contracts worldwide serving a subscriber base in excess of 190 million, not to mention its global delivery capabilities, Nokia Siemens Networks is ideally suited to launch TTSL's GSM services seamlessly and in a quick and efficient manner. In addition to its proven services record, Nokia Siemens Networks was selected on the basis of its mobile softswitching solution, its Home Location Register, based on its advanced Subscriber Data Management platform and the market leading energy-efficient Flexi Base Station. Underscoring its faith in Nokia Siemens Networks, TTSL will also deploy the company's packet core solution, including the Flexi Intelligent Service Node, for all 22 circles in the country, enabling it to offer ubiquitous mobile Internet access across subscriber segments.
