Nokia Siemens Networks to build Global Network Operations Center in Brazil
Fourth country to host cutting-edge facility for managing networks
"Since we opened our first GNOC in 2007, we have achieved significant scale and experience in successfully managing our customers' complete networks remotely for better efficiency," said Ashish Chowdhary, head of Global Services at Nokia Siemens Networks. "Latin America and Brazil in particular are growth markets for us. Operators search for ways to reduce operational expenditure, optimize investments and offer subscribers a whole range of new, high quality services. So, the market for services in Latin America is expected to grow at a CAGR of 9.1% with some sources saying it could grow at an even more accelerated pace.

"They need reliable partners to outsource their network operations while they focus on new products and services. Nokia Siemens Networks global network operation centers are designed to remotely manage operators' networks located in any part of the world. This center in Brazil will share the tools, operational model and architecture with four other centers that are already serving more than 190 million subscribers globally: two in India, one in Portugal and one currently being established in Russia. The center will not only serve Latin American customers, but also customers around the world.
