Easy maintenance of progressing cavity pumps in the biogas production

(PresseBox) (Waldkraiburg, ) In the biogas production processes must inter-relate smoothly and downtimes should be avoided whenever possible – even service breaks should be plannable and short. The positive displacement pump expert NETZSCH Pumps & Systems has therefore developed the "Full Service in Place" (FSIP®) concept for progressing cavity pumps and rotary lobe pumps thereby improving the service friendliness as an essential process element in many applications. The FSIP® concept interventions in the pump equipment possible without dismantling it from the piping. This approach has proven itself in practice already for several years with the TORNADO® T2 rotary lobe pumps, and a FSIP® version of the NEMO® progressing cavity pump has now also been introduced in the market. The new design saves time on inspection, repair and cleaning work while even reducing the required installation space, since an additional expansion space to remove the stator is omitted.
