Friedrich Maletschek, the head of KARL MAYER's Warp Preparation business unit retires
In 1964, Friedrich Maletschek completed his vocational training at KARL MAYER. Following this, he carried out a variety of jobs in the Development, Service and Sales sections. Right from the very beginning, his field of expertise was the Warp Preparation division, where he took on the role of sales manager in 1992. This also marked the beginning of the cooperation with the Italian company, Rotal. In 1998, KARL MAYER acquired the majority shareholding in this company, which manufactured sizing machines. Friedrich Maletschek became a member of the advisory board of KARL MAYER Rotal Srl. and played a leading role in the development of this former regional supplier to the worldrenowned manufacturer it is today, and making it a centre of excellence in the KARL MAYER Group.
Friedrich Maletschek introduced many new innovations and set the trend in the textilemachinery sector. He made a considerable contribution to the expansion of this business unit, and, at the same time, extended its range of products and services. For example, Benninger, Sucker and Griffin were acquired during his time at the company. Recently, Friedrich Maletschek has had overall responsibility for the KARL MAYER Warp Preparation business unit, together with Roland Kohn.
With his exceptional commitment and extensive knowledge, Friedrich Maletschek has made a name for himself in the textile industry all over the world. He took over the chairmanship of the VDMA Exhibition Committee, he was a member of the scientific advisory council at the ITV Denkendorf, and his international specialist lectures played a part in promoting the entire sector. Of special importance to this warppreparation specialist, however, was the cooperation with the manufacturers on site - for Friedrich Maletschek this has always been a reliable source of fresh impetus and new ideas. Based on his direct support and advice given to key customers all over the world, this pioneer developed numerous innovations that set new standards in warp preparation.
Friedrich Maletschek's successor is Roland Kohn, who will take over the future management of KARL MAYER's Warp Preparation business unit.
