"iteraplan 3.0 provides a complete revision of the software with a new and clearer user interface," says Karsten Voges, Product Manager iteraplan of iteratec GmbH. "Enterprise Achitecture Management is to create transparency. Therefore, the usability for the many stakeholders of an enterprise architecture was of utmost importance to us." The result are new structured menus, drop-downs with search filter combinations, new graphical analysis and visualization capabilities, and overall higher performance and a relieving iteraplan experience.
Other enhancements include a more powerful modelling of enterprise architectures, with attributes on the relationship between information systems and business objects. Governance and participation are improved with a new rights management and especially the new Excel import and export was demanded by an active user community. The incorporation of long-time research of Dr. Christian M. Schweda (formerly Technical University of Munich) further improved two strengths of iteraplan - modelling and visualization. In the area of analysis iteraplan 3.0 sets new standards for EA tools.
"iteraplan - is above all, the community," says Inge Hanschke, managing director of iteratec GmbH and author of many books on Enterprise Architecture: "Without the many feedbacks and suggestions from our users the new version would be such a huge step forward. We are pleased that our best practice methodology and iteraplan simplify work for IT managers."
