Das neuartige Messgerät ALMEMO® 202 wurde für den Anschluss einer Vielzahl digitaler Sensoren entwickelt. Die Sensoren werden über einen völlig neuen Steckertyp mit integriertem A/D Wandler und serieller Schnittstelle über einen der beiden Messeingänge angeschlossen. Mit Hilfe dieser "D7" Stecker-Technologie sind die Messbereiche der Sensoren völlig unabhängig vom Messgerät. Über jeden der D7 - Stecker sind bis zu 10 Anzeige- und Funktionskanäle möglich. Dieser Vorteil kommt besonders beim Anschluss von Multifunktionssensoren zum tragen. Aber auch bei Standardsensoren können neben Temperatur- und Luftdruckkompensation die verschiedensten sensorspezifischen Funktionen berücksichtigt werden.
