Substantial increase of earnings compared to the previous year / EBIT in the third quarter more than doubled compared to the first half year / Foreign currency effects from the first half year 2010 almost neutralized

(PresseBox) (München, ) Advanced Inflight Alliance AG (ISIN DE0001262186, WKN 126218, located at Schellingstr. 35, 80799 Munich) releases preliminary financial figures for the first nine months 2010.

The reported revenues of Advanced Inflight Alliance Group in the first nine months 2010 were at 84.3 million Euros and therefore were slightly under the previous years figure of 85 million Euros. Already in course of the preparation of the half year financial report 2010 a revenue shift in favour of 2009 compared to 2010 at one of the subsidiaries was identified, which had almost no effect on earnings. Without this revenue shift the revenues of Advanced Inflight Alliance Group in the first nine months 2010 would have been 85.2 million Euros and therefore would have been slightly higher than the comparable figure of 83.8 million Euros in the previous comparable period.

The earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) of Advanced Inflight Alliance Group in the first nine months 2010 were 9 million Euros and therefore exceeded previous years figure of 8.4 million Euros. The EBITDA adjusted for reported foreign currency effects for the first nine months 2010 were 9.2 million Euros compared to previous years figure adjusted for foreign currency effects of 8.8 million Euros.

The earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) for the first nine months 2010 were 6.2 million Euros and therefore exceeded previous years figure of 5.2 million Euros. The EBIT adjusted for reported foreign currency effects for the first nine months 2010 were 6.4 million Euros compared to previous years figure adjusted for foreign currency effects of 5.6 million Euros.

In the first six months 2010 the results of the Advanced Inflight Alliance Group were burdened by negative foreign currency effects of 1.2 million Euros. In particular due to the recovery of the Euro against the US-Dollar in the third quarter 2010 this negative foreign currency effects decreased drastically to 0.2 million Euros. Due to the respective positive earnings effect at the value of 1 million Euros in the third quarter 2010 the negative foreign currency effects reported as of 30th June 2010 were almost neutralized as of 30th September 2010.

The results for the first nine months 2010 reflect the stability and sustainability of the operational business of the Advanced Inflight Alliance Group. Despite the substantial build up of staff in context with the expansion in new strategic business areas and the corresponding increase of staff costs, last years comparable results for the first nine months 2009 were outperformed.

The final financial figures for the first nine months 2010 can differ from the today released preliminary financial figures. The intermediate notification of the board of directors within the 2nd half year 2010 according to § 37x WpHG will be available for download as of 15th November 2010 under www.advanced-inflight-alliance.com.
